This is a great tip if you are creating audio or video for your business.

Otter.ai uses artificial intelligence to take audio or video and create a text version. I have found it very accurate and enables me to create written content in the form of blogs and even whole books from the videos I create for Youtube marketing.

Here is a video where I explain what and how Otte.ai works. And then below you will see the transcript of the video which took me 10 minutes to “clean up”.

Today I would like to give you a very quick introduction into Otter.ai. So this is an online tool that transcribes audio. And it’s very accurate and even if there are any corrections to be made then it is super easy to do and make and edit the text version. The system lets you hear the audio and edit the text at the same time, it’s very powerful.

So the first way to use it would be using it to record audio, so you could use it on a computer as I am doing today or I could use it on a smartphone, like a dictaphone that automatically transcribes the audio recording. It’s super powerful and accurate. The other way is to upload audio files and video files. So if you’re creating a series of videos for something else, you just upload it to Otter.ai and it will auto transcribe it for you. So if you have got lots of content as video then it would not be much of a step up to take the audio and convert it to text as a printed book or ebook.

So I will now log in and show you how Otter.ai works. So, first of all, you find Otter via the website www.otter.ai. AI obviously stands for artificial intelligence. Now that I’ve logged in you can see my previous projects.

I’m going to record some audio now. So when I start talking, I record the audio and you’ll see it start to type as I talk and it’s very accurate.

So I’ll just stop recording and now you will see the system is processing. It takes a minute or two while it works out what it has got. So here is the little bit of audio we just recorded.

So now we have a Conversation we can click the Edit button.

Now I’m able to go into the Conversation and correct any typos or wrong words and can listen to the audio recording so that I correct anything that is difficult to understand I can repeatedly play it and it all stays in sync as I add and take away words.

In addition, I can also upload files. In this example I uploaded a whole video and transcribed it and tidied it up and put in the speaker’s name in, it will even work out who the different speakers are. And when you are done just export the text. And you can use that for ebooks or write a whole book or whatever you want. So I definitely recommend otter.AI, it enables you to leverage the content you’re already creating. And after recording this video, I will create a transcript of this video. And that will probably take me 5 to 10 minutes to clean and tidy up and create a blog post from it. So I hope this demonstrates the power of otter.ai and I am recommending it to everyone because it’s so super powerful.

[Update as of Oct 2020. I have become aware of a free alternative to LucidChart called Draw.io. From a first glance it looks like a good alternative, it has a few less features but non the less is a good free alternative]

Zapier is an indispensable tool for not only Keap / HighLevel users but I would say all internet marketers. It just has so many uses, it’s a Swiss army knife type tool.

What Zapier does is easily connects different online tools together. So you can connect different tools like blocks of Lego to create your own customised systems.

Zapier cuts out the need to hire an API developer to write a bespoke programme to connect the two systems.

Here are some of the useful “Zaps” that I use, but this is just a fraction of the possibilities that Zapier opens up to Zapier and Keap / HighLevel users.

• Every time a new opportunity is created in Keap / HighLevel then Zapier sends me a text and a voice message telling me I have a new opportunity. The reason I do this is so that I can call the prospect ASAP (as 50% of business is won by the sale rep who gets in touch with he prospect first.
• As a new lead comes in I can auto-populate a Google spreadsheet. This can then be easily shared with others. And then as they become a customer I can auto-update the row in the spreadsheet.
• If I have a third party generating leads, the chances are they will forward the leave via an email. This can be a pain to manage eg say a lead comes in on Saturday night, then the email can easily get “missed”. With the Email Parser function of Zapier I can automatically accept the email, exact the details of the lead, push the contact in Keap / HighLevel and start the follow-up process. All automatically.
• If you are using Eventbrite to manage events. Then using Zapier as each registration comes in you can push the contact into Keap / Infusionsoft and trigger marketing automation. Then on the day of the event, you use Eventbrite to register the attendees, then via Zapier two things can trigger – you can follow up with all those that attend, and because you know who has attended then you can also work out who failed to attend, and so you can follow up with them appropriately.
• If you are advertising on Facebook or LinkedIn and using their lead capture forms then we can automatically push leads into Keap / Infusionsoft and start following up without delay.

These are just a few examples. So if you are looking to have Keap / HighLevel work in sync with another tool that does not have a native Keap / HighLevel integration then Zapier should be your first port of call before hiring an API developer.
