HighLevel Field Services: Job Management Plus 25+ Sales, Marketing and Business Tools

HighLevel Field Services: Job Management & More JobsWhat if your field service management software didn’t just help you organise the jobs you’ve won, but also helped you win more jobs in the first place?

That’s what makes HighLevel’s new Field Services module particularly interesting.

HighLevel has introduced a dedicated field service management system for plumbers, electricians, heating engineers, cleaning companies, landscapers and other businesses that visit customers at their premises.

The new module covers customer requests, estimates, jobs, scheduling, dispatch, route optimisation, invoicing and payments. But there’s a much bigger story here.

HighLevel isn’t simply another field service management system. It’s a CRM, sales and marketing platform with more than 25 sales, marketing and business management tools.

That means a trades business can potentially use one platform to attract customers, capture enquiries, follow up with prospects, win work, schedule employees, collect payments and generate repeat business.

Availability note: As of November 2026, HighLevel Field Services is in private beta. Some integrations and capabilities mentioned as future opportunities are not yet available. Access is subject to HighLevel’s rollout and enrolment.

What Is HighLevel Field Services?

Consider a plumbing company. A customer calls about a broken boiler. The office takes the details, finds an available engineer, schedules a visit, keeps the customer informed, then invoices and collects payment once the repair is complete.

Many small businesses manage this process using a combination of spreadsheets, diaries, WhatsApp messages, accounting software and a separate CRM. Field Services aims to bring these activities together.

  • Requests: Initial customer enquiries or requests for work.
  • Jobs: The overall work, including customer, location, services, pricing and billing.
  • Visits: Individual appointments required to complete a job.

A job is not always the same as an appointment. A window installation company, for example, might need a survey, an installation visit and a return visit for finishing work. Field Services can manage those visits under one job.

What Can HighLevel Field Services Actually Do?

1. Capture Customer Requests

Customers can submit requests through an online booking page, including their contact details, service address, description of the work and supporting photographs. Office staff can also create requests for telephone enquiries. The request can be reviewed and progressed towards an estimate and job.

2. Prepare Estimates and Convert Them Into Jobs

A heating engineer may need to inspect an existing system before quoting for a replacement boiler. A landscaper might need a site survey. Field Services connects the request, estimate and subsequent job, reducing repeated data entry.

3. Manage Jobs and Multiple Visits

A job brings together services, products, pricing, visits, checklists, notes, invoices and payments. Statuses include Unscheduled, Scheduled, In Progress and Closed, helping the office see what is happening across its workload.

4. Schedule Employees and Engineers

The Find Availability feature considers staff working hours, assigned services, service areas, existing bookings and estimated driving time. It can suggest suitable appointment times. Businesses can assign multiple technicians and offer an exact appointment time or an arrival window.

5. Dispatch and Route Optimisation

For a business with several engineers covering a wide area, unnecessary driving wastes time and money. Field Services can propose a more efficient sequence of visits and show estimated travel-time savings. Fixed appointments can be locked before a dispatcher approves changes.

6. Manage Service Areas and Staff Availability

Businesses can define coverage by radius or postal code, allocate services to individual staff and configure additional travel fees and time. Out-of-area enquiries can be blocked or reviewed manually.

7. Offer Online Booking

A branded booking page allows customers to choose services, enter an address and request or book a suitable time. Businesses can choose instant booking for straightforward work or review-first requests for more complicated jobs.

8. Mobile Job Management

Field staff can view their jobs and visits, update statuses, add notes, complete checklists and record time. Changes synchronise with the office, reducing the need for telephone updates.

9. Invoice and Collect Payments

Invoices and payments are connected to the relevant job. Businesses can invoice for completed work and monitor amounts invoiced, paid and outstanding, helping avoid completed jobs being overlooked at billing time.

10. Send Notifications and Handle Enquiries with AI

Configurable email, SMS and WhatsApp notifications can update customers and employees at key stages. The private beta also includes a chat-based AI receptionist for questions about services, pricing and coverage, and supports Google Business Profile booking. Dedicated Field Services voice AI is a planned capability.

The Big Difference: HighLevel Has Over 25 Sales, Marketing and Business Tools Too

A job management system can help a plumber schedule engineers, track jobs and raise invoices. But those activities don’t necessarily bring in the next customer. Without a steady stream of enquiries, even the most efficient scheduling system will struggle to grow a business.

HighLevel combines field service management with an extensive CRM, sales, marketing and business management platform.

Which plan includes the advanced tools?

The official HighLevel Starter plan and MarketerM8 Starter are the Lite versions of HighLevel. They provide core CRM and marketing tools but exclude advanced modules including Industries/Field Services, Projects, Meeting Rooms, Managed Agents, Helpdesk Ticketing and Creator Studio. MarketerM8 Professional (£197 + VAT per month) includes the advanced feature entitlement, subject to each module’s release and availability.

HighLevel Is Expanding Into Industry-Specific Software

HighLevel’s Industries initiative introduces modules designed around the requirements of different businesses. The initial areas include Field Services, Restaurants, and Coaches and Consultants, with approximately 27 further industries planned.

A plumbing company needs engineer dispatch and service areas. A restaurant has different operational needs. A consultant may need appointment, client and service-delivery tools. The idea is to provide industry-specific capabilities alongside the wider CRM and marketing platform.

And It’s Not Just Marketing Anymore

HighLevel is also extending into Project Management (Trello-style tasks and projects), Meeting Rooms (Zoom-style meetings), Managed Agents, Helpdesk Ticketing (Freshdesk-style customer support) and Creator Studio (Canva- and CapCut-style media creation). Exact functionality and release status should be checked as these modules roll out.

Why This Matters for a Trades Business

A plumbing company may currently pay for separate software for its website, CRM, email, SMS, telephony, AI reception, scheduling, invoicing, reviews, social media and support. That can mean multiple subscriptions, logins and integrations.

HighLevel offers the opportunity to bring more of those activities together. It will not replace every specialist application, but the potential is significant.

Instead of buying software only to manage the work you already have, you can invest in a platform designed to help you win more work, deliver it efficiently and keep customers coming back.

An Example: How a Plumbing Company Could Use HighLevel

Imagine a plumbing and heating business operating across Greater Manchester with four engineers and an office administrator. It wants more enquiries, more boiler installations and more annual servicing bookings.

Stage 1: Attract New Customers

The business uses HighLevel to build a website and landing pages for boiler installations, emergency plumbing, central heating repairs and annual servicing. It can support those pages with email campaigns, social media and advertising.

Stage 2: Capture Enquiries

A homeowner submits a form about a broken boiler. Their details enter HighLevel. If they telephone and nobody answers, missed-call text-back can respond automatically. An appropriately configured AI receptionist can also capture enquiries.

Stage 3: Follow Up and Win the Work

Not every prospect books immediately. HighLevel’s CRM and marketing automation can nurture prospects, follow up on enquiries and track sales opportunities. A boiler replacement prospect might receive helpful information while deciding.

Stage 4: Schedule and Complete the Job

Once work is agreed, Field Services can manage the job, engineer assignment, visits, customer notifications and billing. The engineer can update the job from the mobile app.

Stage 5: Generate Reviews and Repeat Business

HighLevel’s wider reputation and marketing tools can help the business request reviews, promote annual servicing and stay in touch with customers. This creates opportunities beyond the initial repair.

Beta limitation: Dedicated Field Services workflow triggers are still planned. Do not assume that a job-completion status can currently trigger a native marketing workflow without additional configuration or a future release.

How Does HighLevel Compare With Tradify, ServiceM8, Joblogic and Other UK Field Service Software?

Established UK field service software includes Tradify, ServiceM8, Joblogic, Commusoft, Powered Now, BigChange and Simpro. Each has its own strengths, particularly in specialist operational workflows.

  • Tradify: Quoting, scheduling, job tracking and invoicing for trades.
  • ServiceM8: Mobile-focused job management for small service teams.
  • Joblogic: Maintenance contractors and engineering businesses.
  • Commusoft: Heating, plumbing, HVAC and maintenance companies.
  • Powered Now: UK-focused trades administration and invoicing.
  • BigChange: Mobile workforce and fleet operations.
  • Simpro: More complex service, maintenance and project management.

HighLevel’s advantage is not that its new beta already matches every specialist feature. Its advantage is the breadth of the overall platform.

Field Service Management Versus Business Growth

Business requirement Specialist FSM software HighLevel
Manage customer jobs Core strength Field Services beta
Schedule engineers Core strength Field Services beta
Dispatch employees Core strength Field Services beta
Route optimisation Available in selected systems Field Services beta
Estimates and invoices Commonly supported Supported
Specialist trade compliance Often a strength Must be assessed
Website and landing pages Varies, often not core Available
Email and SMS marketing Varies Available
Automated lead nurturing Varies Available
Customer reactivation Varies Available
AI receptionists Varies Available in wider platform
Social media management Generally not core Available
Review generation Varies Available

This is a broad comparison, not a feature-by-feature audit. Specialist products vary, and some include CRM, marketing and integration features.

Could HighLevel Replace Your Existing Field Service Software?

For a smaller business currently using a diary, spreadsheet and accounting package, HighLevel Field Services may become an attractive option as it matures. For businesses relying on asset management, planned preventative maintenance, stock control, certification or complex compliance workflows, specialist software may still be essential.

You don’t necessarily need to replace your existing job management system to benefit from HighLevel. A business could keep its existing operational system and use HighLevel for lead generation, CRM, follow-up, customer reactivation and reviews. Any integration would need to be assessed.

Which UK Businesses Could Benefit From HighLevel Field Services?

Plumbers and Heating Engineers

Manage callouts, boiler surveys, repairs and servicing visits, while using marketing tools to promote annual servicing.

Electricians

Manage enquiries, site surveys, installation appointments and invoices, with follow-up for outstanding sales opportunities.

Cleaning Companies

Schedule domestic and commercial cleaning, allocate employees, use checklists and reactivate past customers.

Gardeners and Landscaping Companies

Organise maintenance visits, landscaping projects and routes, and promote seasonal services.

Locksmiths

Capture urgent enquiries, arrange callouts, dispatch technicians and invoice customers.

Window and Door Companies

Manage surveys, quotations, installation appointments and return visits, with follow-up for longer purchase decisions.

Carpet and Flooring Companies

Manage measuring appointments, fitting visits and invoicing, while promoting related products and referrals.

Removals Companies

Manage enquiries, surveys, moving jobs and communications, subject to specialist vehicle and crew-planning requirements.

Renewable Energy Installers

Coordinate surveys, installation visits and technicians, while supporting longer sales cycles.

Fireplace and Stove Installers

Manage surveys, installations and servicing, with opportunities for customer reactivation.

These are potential applications. Businesses should check any specialist regulatory, certification or operational requirements before replacing existing systems.

The Opportunity Most Trades Businesses Are Missing: Customer Reactivation

Many trades businesses invest heavily in attracting customers but do very little to maintain relationships once the work is finished.

Consider a carpet cleaning company. A customer pays for a clean, the company completes the job and moves on. Six months later, the customer may need another clean, but without follow-up they might simply search Google and choose somebody else.

HighLevel can help the business run an ongoing customer communication programme, including review requests, useful advice, reminders, seasonal promotions and referral campaigns.

I’ve seen the value of this approach in the home improvement market, including a sash window business where a customer reactivation campaign generated an additional £30,000 to £40,000 in sales.

The value of your customer database doesn’t end when the job is completed. That is why combining job management with marketing is so interesting.

What About AI Receptionists for Trades Businesses?

Small trades businesses often miss enquiries because engineers are working, driving or unavailable to answer calls. A potential customer who cannot get through may simply telephone the next business.

HighLevel already offers AI voice and conversational AI capabilities in its wider platform. These can be configured to answer questions, capture contact details and support enquiries. For example, a plumbing company could use a voice agent outside office hours to gather the customer’s name, telephone number, address and description of the problem.

Field Services itself currently includes a chat-based AI receptionist. Dedicated Field Services voice AI integration is planned, not yet a confirmed beta capability.

What’s Still Missing From HighLevel Field Services?

Because Field Services is in private beta, several important capabilities should not yet be assumed to be available:

  • Dedicated reporting for requests, jobs and visits.
  • Field Services workflow triggers and actions.
  • Integration with Opportunities.
  • A customer portal.
  • Snapshot support.
  • Resource management and waitlists.
  • Further AI functionality, including voice.
  • Additional import options.

For agencies, Snapshot support matters when replicating configurations across multiple accounts. For businesses, native workflow triggers matter when planning advanced automation. I would test the operational processes thoroughly before relying on the beta for business-critical work.

How Much Does HighLevel Field Services Cost?

Not all HighLevel plans include the same features. The official HighLevel Starter plan and MarketerM8 Starter are effectively Lite versions of HighLevel. They include core CRM and marketing capabilities but exclude advanced modules such as Field Services.

At MarketerM8, we offer two main subscription plans. Both include unlimited contacts, unlimited users, onboarding and technical support.

MarketerM8 Starter: £97 + VAT per Month

Our Starter plan reflects the functionality of the official HighLevel Starter plan. It is suitable for businesses that need the core CRM and marketing capabilities without the newer advanced modules.

  • Unlimited contacts and unlimited users.
  • Core CRM and marketing tools.
  • Marketing automation.
  • Free onboarding.
  • Free, unlimited 24/7 chat and Zoom technical support.

Starter does not include advanced modules: Industries/Field Services, Projects, Meeting Rooms, Managed Agents, Helpdesk Ticketing or Creator Studio.

  • Project Management: Organise projects and tasks.

  • Helpdesk Ticketing: Manage customer support enquiries.
  • Creator Studio: AI-powered graphics and video content creation.

My View: HighLevel Is Becoming Much More Than a CRM

I’ve worked in direct-response marketing since 1996 and marketing automation since 2009. Over that time, I’ve seen businesses buy separate systems for CRM, email, websites, appointment booking and job management, only to find those systems do not communicate properly.

HighLevel has steadily brought more of these capabilities together. Field Services is another significant step, because trades businesses can now begin evaluating it as a platform for both customer acquisition and day-to-day operations.

A plumbing company doesn’t just need software to schedule plumbers. It needs enquiries, a process to convert those enquiries into customers, efficient job delivery, prompt payment and a reason for customers to come back.

HighLevel’s potential advantage is that it addresses all these parts of running and growing a business, rather than concentrating solely on managing jobs.

The Field Services module is still developing, and established specialist systems will remain the right choice for some businesses. But for smaller trades businesses wanting to improve marketing as well as operations, HighLevel deserves serious consideration.
