The Dream 100 List concept is a very simple, yet highly effective marketing strategy.
The Dream 100 List strategy was first proposed by Chet Holmes in his classic sales and marketing book – The Ultimate Sales Machine. (This book I recommend to all my clients as an essential read).
These days most marketing strategies rely on advertising to generate leads – so you buy Google Adwords clicks or Facebook adverts. This brings in leads of varying qualities, but at a cost. These leads then need following up and you eventually convert a proportion of them.
The Deam 100 List concept is different. So in simplest terms – you identify your top 100 ideal clients that you would like to win. It could be in terms of sales, it could be to recruit influencers/affiliates (who could put you in contact with your ideal prospects), it could be to recruit JV partners, it could even be geographical regions where your ideal customer tends to live.

The point is, you identify your key 100 targets. And you then create a targeted, relevant and persistent campaign to get your product or service noticed by the dream 100 prospects. In Chet’s book he gives a great case study as to how he used “lumpy” direct mail to double magazine advertising sales every year. So the Dream 100 List strategy is super effective. But in practical terms how do you implement it?
Imagine all the moving parts – send out lumpy direct mail, email, phone calls – even texts (SMS). How can that all be coordinated over the long term – say a whole year?
The only tool I know that can run an effective Dream 100 List campaign is Keap / Infusionsoft. Tools like MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, Aweber are just not sophisticated enough to effectively run such a campaign.
